Three Types of Nodes
The BOR Blockchain network comprises three main types of nodes: Guardian Nodes, Miner Nodes, and Meta Nodes.
Guardian Nodes Guardian nodes ensure the accuracy of the transaction blocks proposed by miner nodes. They seal blocks and check for malicious or non-functional validator nodes, thereby maintaining the decentralized network's security. Guardian nodes participate in the consensus mechanism, adding an extra layer of security to the protocol and earning rewards through mining.
Miner Nodes Also known as storage nodes, miner nodes are responsible for storing and indexing large files. Miners are rewarded for their work, which involves retrieving transaction blocks containing uploaded files and competing for the right to store them. The more files they store and the longer they store them, the greater the rewards.
Meta Nodes Meta nodes, upgraded from guardian nodes, provide local trusted storage, computational resources, and network transmission capabilities to ensure the normal operation of the Metaverse ecosystem.
